What to expect on your first visit to Valley Oral Surgery

During your initial appointment, Dr. Meador will perform a thorough exam prior to any treatment.  The exam will include a review of your medical history, taking and reading any necessary x-rays, and a complete oral exam.  From the exam, Dr. Meador can determine your diagnosis and recommend treatment options.

Minor treatment plans and procedures can sometimes be performed the same day as the consultation/exam, but for more complex treatment plans or medical history concerns, we will set up a second appointment for your treatment.

Please bring to your initial appointment:

  • Your surgical referral slip and any x-rays if applicable.  If your dentist has taken x-rays, you may request that they forward them either by email or conventional mail to our office or you may pick them up and bring them with you.  We can also take all necessary x-rays during your visit.
  • A current list of ANY medications, including aspirin and vitamins
  • If you have medical or dental insurance, please bring the necessary insurance cards and completed forms.  This will save time and allow us to help you process any claims.

Important:  All patients under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
